Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 5 years of database management work experience, with at least 2 years in MongoDB
- Installation, configuration, monitoring and setting up security for Mongo Databases
- Experience working with OPS Manager
- At least 1 year of work experience with data modeling and design
- Mongo DB Cluster administration experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with replication, sharding, Chunks and Balancer
- Experience with Aggregation pipelines creations
- Cross functional/Cross team project work experience
Expectations:
- Must be residing in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro area

Cerner’s Transaction Services Dev team is looking for an experienced Database Architect. You will have responsibility for database software installation, configuration, upgrades and patching. You will provide high-level guidance and assist with database architectures and strategies as you conduct research and evaluation of new tools and techniques, and recommend enhancements to policies, standards and procedures related to our database environment. Security administration, database and SQL performance tuning and server capacity planning are other key responsibilities in this position.
