The primary responsibility of the CNC programmer in the Guelph facility is to support the shop floor as required. The support starts from engineered drawing to work order creation through final machining and assembly of the product.

Develop and implement CNC programs and improve CNC programming operations while meeting drawing requirements

Establish and document standard CNC programming techniques and procedures

Maintain detailed files and supporting documents such as set-up sheets and routings

Select proper tooling and work holding devices to perform required manufacturing operations

Procurement of necessary tooling for new and existing parts

Work with manufacturing and engineering to assist in set up and design of special parts for special applications

Support manufacturing with new and legacy programs, providing technical guidance as needed

Learn all cell concepts and put them into practice

Designing of fixture drawings and custom tooling

Support CIP projects and lean projects

Position Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of CNC machine programming experience

Must have comprehensive knowledge of the latest Edge Cam software, and CAD/CAM

Knowledge of machine tooling and processing

Strong Blue print reading skills Mathematic skills

Problem solving

Computer skills (Window, work excel, and SAP)

Detail oriented

Communication skills

Self motivated

Preferences:

Minimum of 5 years of machining experience

Knowledge of SAP

Proficient with CAD/CAM software
