This Senior Design Engineer on the Core Performance Modeling team in Boxborough, Massachusetts will contribute to this team using their experience with CPU microarchitecture development, performance modeling, and analysis. Over the medium and longer-term they will have opportunities to expand their technical contributions more deeply into CPU microarchitecture performance simulator development, workload and performance analysis, and model correlation.
Collaborate with a small, dedicated team of hardware and software engineers to optimize the performance of CPU microarchitecture
Expand your experience with cycle-accurate core microarchitecture performance simulator development, workload and trace analysis, microarchitecture development, RTL vs performance model correlation, and so forth
This experienced engineer on the Cores team will ideally have the following experience and attributes:
Demonstrate success in a comparable technical role on a product team with a bare minimum of 2 years of experience innovating and redefining high-performance computing
Show thought leadership and perseverance with published papers or filed patents that contribute to the industry
Show creativity and self-motivation in their academic and post-academic career and in the interview process
Evidence their comfort working in a cross-team environment
Showcase the following technical strengths:
C++ programming and scripting language capabilities
Computer architecture background through coursework and/or work experience
Cycle-accurate microarchitecture performance simulator development
Pre-silicon performance analysis
Computing software, including operating systems, compilers, and applications.
Education Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Masters or PhD is preferred/desirable.
