About the Graduate Scheme

McLaren IT are looking for graduates on a 2-year rotational programme, starting in Spring 2021.

Our IT Graduate Programme is specifically designed to develop talent within all areas of IT. You will gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience in a broad range of areas of our IT Department, where you’ll have the opportunity to work in our key disciplines, including:

  • IT Engineering; including application enhancement through configuration, customisation or improved business processes, and optimising application performance or extension of scope
  • Cyber Security; including supporting the Cyber Monitoring & Incident Response function, and driving down vulnerabilities and threats; deploying, maintaining and improving security controls across our IT estate and developing the Cyber User Awareness and Education capability at McLaren
  • Business Analytics; including analysing IT performance data, providing insights, identifying trends, interpreting and presenting data and developing recommendations to provide actionable takeaways for senior executives
  • Finance and Procurement; including processing ledger entries, month end reconciliation and producing financial reporting for senior executives

Our rotational Graduate scheme will allow you to take on responsibility that drives our vision.

You will be supported by experienced members of the team, but also empowered to make decisions and add real value to our business. Your mentor will work with you to set objectives, to support your development, training and progression.

There is also an opportunity to become a STEM ambassador, passing on your knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation.

About you

You’re a problem solver, never hesitating to roll up your sleeves, using your initiative at every opportunity to deliver to a high standard.

You believe in continuous learning and you’re always looking for ways to improve yourself or our business processes.

You have a technical background or interest and would love to get stuck in to the detail.

Preferably, you’ll be studying or recently graduated with an Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology degree.

Our headquarters is based in Woking, Surrey but working arrangements will be on a flexible basis.

Whilst working remotely, we offer team events in our virtual coffee area including quizzes, competitions and challenges.
