This individual will play a critical role in assessing, designing, and developing comprehensive solutions to meet the business and non-functional requirements.Mendix developers at Medtronic mix agility, collaboration, and technical expertise into their daily activities. As such, we’re in search of passionate problem solvers who want to move beyond sitting behind a screen coding all day and instead focus on what really matters to deliver applications customers will love and adopt; business value. Mendix is an application development platform using a model-driven development approach. Mendix enables developers to create applications ranging from simple web apps to complex multi-channel, microservice-based applications in a fraction of the time it takes using traditional programming languages. The visual development environment presents UI, logic, and data models in a way traditional developers and members of business lines alike easily understand. In addition, the openness and extensibility of the platform enables you to add additional functionality using your existing programming skills. A DAY IN THE LIFE• You will be developing and configuring using Low-code Application development platform Mendix.• You will be developing and configuring applications using Business Process Management tools using Domain Models, Microflows, Pages, Scripts and related components.• You will be working closely with cross-functional teams using agile principles like SCRUM to deliver solutions that make a positive impact on the business.• You are collaborating with business partners throughout the application development lifecycle to prototype, create, iterate, and deploy apps.• You are helping create and maintain apps with quality and consistency by using your existing programming experience to share best practices.• You are designing scalable application architectures to support new business models and products.• You are extending low-code development tools and applications by coding reusable front-end components and back-end integration modules.• You will be developing and integrating applications leveraging RESTFul APIs and ESB tools.• You will develop using Webservices / data transport (XML, JSON, etc.).• You are aware of Enterprise applications development using C#, .Net, Java, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5 etc.• You are aware of RDBMS development such as MySQL, Oracle using SQL and PL/SQL in writing stored procedures, triggers and functions. • You are designing and implementing business process requirements.• You are doing systems analysis, software design, development, and implementation of client/server applications with an exposure to all facets of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).• You develop, document, and configure systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes.• You are involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance and security standards.• You evaluate interfaces between software, operational requirements and characteristics of overall system.• You establish and document system design, parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems functionality, performance and compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of configurations, such as existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.• You actively identify system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.• You will document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.• All other duties and tasks as assigned. MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)• Bachelor’s degree• 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)• Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.• Preferred degree discipline: Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other IT related area.• Kafka Integration knowledge with Mendix is preferred.• Mulesoft integration knowledge with Mendix is preferred.• Knowledge of Web Technologies Java, J2ee (JDBC, JSP, HTML, JavaScript).• Knowledge of frameworks like Struts, Spring.• Knowledge of Scripting in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ant, DHTML, XHTML.• Knowledge of DevOps tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, TeamCity, TFS, SVN.• Knowledge of IDE tools like Eclipse, Net Beans.• Certification in Rapid Application Development tools and platform.• Proven communication skills.• Has successfully led ITSM services and support focused initiatives driven by the end-user experience.• Customer focused, team player and prepared to go the extra mile to deliver IT services to the customer.• Time management skills and the ability to prioritize are crucial.• Experience in working in a large or complex IT environment.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language.• Demonstrates subject matter expertise with the ability to support multiple IT key stakeholders concurrently with minimal oversight by functional manager.• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.• Familiarity with ServiceNow (or similar ITSM solution) and its capabilities.  ABOUT MEDTRONICTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
