CAREERS THAT CHANGE LIVES We are looking for a Mendix Developer to join our global IT service management (ITSM) team to develop and configure applications that will be leveraged by our internal employees. This individual will play a critical role in leading the development of a new global employee application. This new application will be utilized by up to 120,000 employees and contingents worldwide.
Mendix developers at Medtronic mix agility, collaboration, and technical expertise into their daily activities. As such, we’re in search of passionate problem solvers who want to move beyond sitting behind a screen coding all day and instead focus on what really matters to deliver applications customers will love and adopt.
A DAY IN THE LIFE• You will play a critical role in building a new employee application by bringing your experience and forward-thinking ideas • You will collaborate with business partners to prototype, create, iterate, and deploy apps on the Mendix platform• You will be developing and configuring applications using business process management tools using domain models, microflows, pages, scripts and related components.• You will be integrating with many enterprise applications leveraging modern integration methods• You will be working closely with cross-functional teams using agile principles like SCRUM to deliver solutions that make a positive impact on the business.• You are doing systems analysis, software design, development, and implementation of client/server applications with an exposure to all facets of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).• You develop, document, and configure systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes.• You are involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance and security standards.• You evaluate interfaces between software, operational requirements and characteristics of overall system.• You may document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.• Other duties and tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree• 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree
