This role will introduce you to the operational implementation of the ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Performance and Change. Recovery team members are specialist that works with each of the process areas focusing on problem or events that cannot be managed by any single process tower.  Activities consist of working directly with the process heads and technical lead to, by use of forensic investigation, assemble root cause of major events of problem in production operation. 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in weekly meeting with process managers to uncover and track the areas that require Recovery Team oversight
  • Prevent the replication of Problems across enterprise
  • Coordinates meetings to resolve Recovery efforts
  • Monitors the effectiveness of error control and makes recommendations for improvements
  • Develop, refine, and document Recovery operation's policies, processes, procedures, and associated systems requirements and drive their implementation and use
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve Recovery efforts
  • Drive all Recovery efforts towards root cause identification and permanent fix
  • Oversee Recovery projects, training, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and milestones
  • To meet/exceed and maintain service levels as assigned by management
  • To meet/exceed expected reliability standards
  • Willing to take ownership and take on other duties as assigned
  • Need to have innovative approach as Recovery efforts are unique and need to use different techniques

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications:

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills required: Ability to identify and analyze network quality and operational processes and then drive corrective / preventative action plans.
  • Good understanding of supporting network operations
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols to perform network status checks as part of normal surveillance activities.
  • Ability to provide both hands on solutions and supervision of projects
  • Ability to successfully interface with a wide range of personnel within the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • ITIL v 3 Certification preferred
