Kelly Engineering is currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a DIRECT HIRE position that we have open in Scottsdale, AZ.  You will provide the business “big picture” knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products and provide a superior level of technical support that benefit the company. This position entails working alongside a world-class team to design, develop, support, and maintain the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software. This is a broad systems role including analyzing, developing, modifying, testing and maintaining the system. The position requires a high level of drive to keep pace and grow as the business expands.  The successful candidate will possess the following qualities: very detail oriented, organized, and self-driven.  The candidate will be a hands-on, resourceful problem solver, and team player with exemplary communications skills to efficiently communicate data and collaborate with members of the various technical teams within our organization. The job duties you will be required to perform are: 

Design, develop, and validate power systems from concept through production for a variety of applications.

Coordinate and/or performs additions and changes to hardware and operating systems and attached devices; includes investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation and testing of new hardware and software.

Review previous documents and prepare up-to-date documents/modes/reports to meet consumer requests.

Provide direction and support in the day-to-day operations on hardware and operating systems; duties include evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.

Lead system architecture and concept decisions.

Interact with cross-disciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, firmware, testing, production and R&D.

Provides technical consultation, training and support to technical staff.

Qualified candidates will have the following education/experience to be considered: 

B.S. in Engineering or equivalent technical field with 5+ years of technical/management experience

Experience in Renewable Energy and Power Conversion industries, Battery experience required

Working knowledge of electronics and software programming

Strong technical management skills and strategic planning capability

Experience working in a fast paced, disciplined environment having developed superior organizational skills

Excellent writing and communication skills
