Senior V & V Engineer

Under the direction of the V&V Manager of the O-arm,  in this  role you will be responsible for leading the design, development, documentation, and execution of software verification and validation plans, schedules, test protocols, and reports to ensure MNL products meet published specifications and are compliant with Quality Systems Regulations.

 

A Day in the Life

 

You will develop and execute V&V test plans and compile results in accordance with Medtronic Navigation Standard Operating Procedures

You will participate in a cross-functional team supporting design reviews, hazard analysis and risk assessments to ensure high standards are met

You will participate in root cause analysis for defects and provide process improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar defects

You will effectively communicate and present findings,  problems, and solutions within the team, organization, and outside the organization including recommendations for actions and prioritization

You will report and/or resolve software bugs/issues using the Defect Tracking System

You will maintain projects and documentation according to ISO and GMP guidelines

You will maintain current knowledge to ensure compliance to applicable regulatory and corporate standards/requirements both domestically and internationally (FDA, QSR, ISO 13845, MDD) as they apply to V&V activities and the Design Control process

You will participate in society meetings, focus groups, and User Site Testing (UST)  activities to support continuous process improvement of verification and validation

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

 

You will have a Bachelors’ degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field  and 4+ years experience or an advanced degree and 2+ years experience.

 

Nice to Have

 

Experience with X-ray imaging

Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

General knowledge of a programming language (C++ or C# preferred)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to analyze technical requirements and develop well-structured architectures

Self-motivated that can work individually and lead team projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
