Our BEng and MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering courses develop engineers with a firm grounding in electronics, plus the specialist skills required to work at the forefront of electrical engineering, power and control.
These courses will expose you to the latest developments in electrical and electronic engineering through high-quality teaching, and via our laboratory, fabrication and 3D printing facilities. We’re home to some of the world’s leading centres of research in electronic communication, power and control engineering, renewable energy and signal processing.
After a common foundation year in electrical science and electronics, you will go on to study specialist modules in topics such as electrical machines, power electronics, power engineering, renewable energy generation and control engineering.
You can apply to study for either a BEng or MEng (Masters of Engineering). The MEng builds on the BEng programme with a masters year, and is a direct route to a masters qualification. Depending on your progress, you may have the option to switch to a BEng or MEng during your studies.
