Important Notes:

1. For Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents, the fee quoted here are subsidised by the Singapore government (through the Ministry of Education, MOE) and are exclusive of prevailing GST. The applicable GST is subsidised by the MOE.

2. Students in MOE-subsidised coursework programmes who are Singapore Citizens and aged 40 and above (based on the year which the student turns 40 years old) may be eligible for higher subsidy under the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy. The fees payable will be 60% lower than the standard subsidised fees payable by other Singaporean students. The amount of fees payable will be reflected in their individual student bill.

Students who are not eligible for MOE subsidy are also not eligible for the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy.

3. In some MOE-subsidised programmes, the University may deem it feasible, based on industry demand, to implement a Service Obligation Schemefor International Students. Students who are eligible and have signed the Service Obligation Agreement will pay reduced tuition fees. Please refer to the Service Obligation Scheme for more details. The determination of this feasibiltiy is at the sole discretion of the University.

4. With effect from AY2016/2017 intake, the prevailing GST (currently 7%) on the fees payable will be borne by International Students. The fee amounts quoted are inclusive of the prevailing GST.

5. Students who are not in receipt of MOE Subsidy will have to pay the non-subsidised fee quoted here (which are inclusive of the prevailing GST).

6. Students who have previously enjoyed government subsidy or sponsorship by a Singapore government agency (such as scholarships offered by the Ministries, Public Service Commission and Statutory Boards) in a graduate programme should refer to the Eligibility Guidelines for MOE Subsidy.

Students who are not eligible for MOE subsidy are also ineligible for some scholarships. For more details, please refer to Scholarships/Awards.

All students affected as above are to refer to their individual student bills for the amount of fees payable.

7. Students who do not meet fee payment deadlines stipulated by the Office of Financial Services may incur penalty fees. If fees are not paid, or only partially paid, by the due date indicated in the bill, a late fee will be stipulated.

Should fees remain outstanding after the relevant fee payment deadline, the University reserves the right to suspend academic rights and privileges, including to withhold degree conferment certifications. In addition, students with overdue fees may have their candidature of study terminated.

8. All fees quoted here are in Singapore Dollars (S$). Tuition fees are reviewed yearly and thus, subject to revision.

9.Tuition fees for graduate coursework programmes for students admitted in AY2018/2019 intake will be increased by 1% per year, for the remaining course duration.

11. Tuition fees are billed by semester.

Financial Aid - NUS Graduate Scholarship For ASEAN Nationals (GSA)

The University offers scholarships each year to nationals of ASEAN* member countries to undertake full-time coursework graduate degrees at NUS. This scholarship is for new, incoming students. Singapore citizens and permanent residents are ineligible. These awards, known as the NUS Graduate Scholarship for ASEAN nationals [NUS GSA], are financed by the People of Singapore and the University. The scholar has no obligation or bond to NUS or Singapore but is expected to complete the graduate degree and return to the home country to assist in the progress and development of the home country.

The scholarship will be awarded for the normal duration of the particular degree (based on full-time load of 20 MCs per semester).

At the end of each semester, the NUS GSA recipient must submit his/her examination results to the Registrar’s Office. The Board of Graduate Studies may terminate an award if the progress or conduct of the scholar has not been satisfactory. The NUS GSA recipient must enrol for sufficient modules (generally, 20 MCs per semester) to be able to complete the degree programme within the normal duration for the programme. Recipient must also maintain a minimum CAP of 3.5, with no grade below "C" for any module/subject for the continuation of the scholarship.

The scholarship may not, without the prior approval of the Senate, be held concurrently with any other award.

*(ASEAN comprises the 10 nations of South East Asia - Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.)
